HW Packet 4 Help

Due to no school next Friday (September 19), homework packets will be due Monday, September 22.

Here's this week's helpful pointers for packet 4:

• Akiak:  Read the passage for one minute.  Record the number of words you read.  Do this three times.
• Reading Log:  Read at least 20 minutes per day.  Write a summary of what you read.
• Homophones:  Follow the page directions.  For example, the answer to number one would be, "A red ant crawled up the wall."  Number eight would be, "My aunt plans to visit us this week."
• Nouns:  Follow the page directions.  Remember, words like red and blue are adjectives (describing words).  On number 4, "bus" is NOT a noun, because it is describing what kind of driver we are talking about.
• Classification:  Follow the page directions.  This activity doesn't necessarily have right or wrong answers.  As long as a student can justify their reasoning, they will not be counted wrong.
• Webs:  Students DO NOT have to do this page.
• Place Value:  Follow page directions.
• Multiplication Grid:  We have already done several multiplication grids in class.  Students should know how to do this page.
