Important Dates

Hello, Families!  This afternoon, students should have brought home a newsletter detailing the rest of the year's important events.  In case that information gets misplaced, here it is again:

  • This week (April 26-May 1):  We will finish our state testing this week.  As a result, students will not have homework packets.  Instead, they are encouraged to work on their purple reading logs and (for those in my writing group) finish their research papers and projects.
  • Wednesday, April 29:  Water Festival Field Trip.  STUDENTS, YOU DO NOT NEED TO BRING A SWIM SUIT OR TOWEL!
  • Monday, May 4:  My writing group will turn in their research papers and projects.  We will not be doing research writing in class, so all papers and projects need to be finished at home.
  • Thursday, May 7:  All School Music Concert.  Be on the lookout for information sent home by Ms. Eilers.
  • Friday, May 8:  Train Museum Field Trip.  More information to be sent home later this week.
  • Monday, May 11:  Camp Read S'More:  Students must complete 3 purple reading logs to participate.  Fourth grade is in charge of donating chips and drinks for the BBQ.  Please, bring Capri Sun or any type of juice that comes in individual containers.  We will not be providing cups this year, because we had a lot of problems with spills last year.
  • Friday, May 15:  Movic Concert
  • Monday, May 18:  Field Day
  • Tuesday, May 19:  Awards Assembly at the school at 10:15
  • Wednesday, May 20:  Kids' Last Day.  Talent Show at 9:00.
While some of us have already started counting down the days until summer, we still have a lot of fun learning activities planned!  Let's keep going, fourth graders!  Let's make this the best four weeks of the whole year!
